Martijn Roosen (1994) is the newest addition to our team of innovation brokers. Martijn is living in Oostakker. He has a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Ghent University and has completed his PhD in Bioscience Engineering at the same university. The focus of his PhD research was on the characterization and pretreatment of post-consumer plastic packaging waste. Martijn has tought several courses, contributed to more than 30 scientific papers and has been involved in several patent applications. Martijn is married and is the proud father of a baby girl. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, travelling, and walking with his two dogs.
Floris Van Cauwelaert (1974) is our new communications manager. Floris lives in Dilbeek with his wife and two children. He holds a master in philosophy from Ghent University and a master in American Studies from the University of Antwerp. He has previously worked as a journalist at MO*, De Morgen en Het Laatste Nieuws and as a freelance communication and event manager for Vlaanderen Circulair, SD Worx and EFPIA. Floris is also part of a group of bloggers under the name of Zeronaut. He feels at his best in the wilderness and is a fan of football and cycling.
