Cluster organizations Axelera (FR) and Catalisti agree to collaborate on industrial innovation

New collaboration between strong chemical clusters to catalyse and accelerate sustainable innovation in Europe

Solaize/Lyon (FR) — Axelera and Catalisti signed an agreement to start exploring ways to collaborate. Catalisti and Axelera are both innovation cluster organizations with activities in the domain of sustainable chemistry and plastics. They both “catalyse” and “accelerate” innovation within the major chemical clusters in their respective regions.

The signing between Axelera and Catalisti took place during the Flemish industrial mission of Minister-President Jan Jambon to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in France. For Axelera, Vice President Jean-François Gérard and general director Frédéric Laroche signed the agreement with President Peter Roose and General Director Tine Schaerlaekens of Catalisti, in the presence of Flemish Minister President Jan Jambon.

“We are very proud to start this collaboration with Axelera, the leading chemical cluster in France”, says Tine Schaerlaekens, Director General of Catalisti. “We share the same goals of leading the chemical and plastics industry into the future through innovation. We also face similar challenges with respect to climate change mitigation and resource efficiency.  We can now work together to address them. We look forward to welcoming Axelera to Flanders to take the collaboration forward.”
