Catalisti @ EFIB 2019

30 September 2019 @ 08:00 - 2 October 2019 @ 17:00

Catalyzing collaborations across the chemical sector? Designing tomorrow’s technology through investment and innovation? Stimulating sustainable and smart growth in the bioeconomy? Catalisti and EFIB, the European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology and the Bioeconomy, share the same mission. Join us from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October 2019 in Brussels at EFIB 2019, Europe’s leading event for the biobased economy.

EFIB connects the brightest people to share the latest bio-based innovations, and discuss opportunities and challenges as we are developing a circular economy, enabled by industrial biotech. – Tjerk De Ruiter CEO Corbion

Industrial biotechnology is currently worth €23 billion, just 6% of sales on the worldwide chemicals market. However, it is significantly out-performing the overall chemicals market at an impressive 20% annual growth rate, representing a huge future opportunity. Delivering on this opportunity is the main focus at EFIB 2019. Here, industry experts throughout the vibrant biobased community come together to discuss the key issues and gain a snapshot of the most significant developments regarding the scale up of commercial biorefineries around the world.

Participants will be provided with an update on the status and outlook of biobased industries. EFIB is proud to foster engagement between policy makers and a broad range of stakeholders connected with the existing biobased value chain. Furthermore, EFIB always seeks to reach out to, and include, new interlocutors. This year, catalysts Linsey Garcia-Gonzalez and Johan De Houwer will be present to showcase Catalisti’s contributions to biobased business in Flanders.
