ie-net is hét contactpunt tussen ingenieurs, bedrijven, overheids- en opleidingsinstellingen en wil door haar activiteiten o.a. de sleutelrol van ingenieurs in onze moderne economie en maatschappij versterken. Vanuit deze missie streeft de ie-net-expertgroep 'Chemische en Biochemische Techniek' naar een betere maatschappelijke inburgering van technologische kennis. Daarom organiseren we een nieuwe, tweejaarlijkse lezingencyclus: eFFECT. eFFECT staat voor 'events in Flanders Focusing on Engineering and Chemical Technology'. ValBran: the valorisation of wheat bran into surfactant molecules The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Grand Est Region, Wallonia and West Flanders are pleased to announce you the start of ValBran: a four-year research project that aims to develop new ways of valorising wheat bran, an agricultural co-product produced by milling and biorefineries. The project ValBran will develop original and environmentally friendly biotechnological and green chemistry pathways for the production of various surfactant molecules from wheat bran. Tussen 2 februari en 31 maart 2017 kunnen innovatieve bedrijven in Vlaanderen en Zuid-Nederland een subsidieaanvraag indienen bij CrossRoads. Dat Europese project wil de grensregio een economische boost geven door technologische en grensoverschrijdende innovatie te stimuleren. CrossRoads past binnen het Europese programma Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland. Het doel van het project is om concrete innovatieprojecten van bedrijven in Vlaanderen en Zuid-Nederland (Zeeland, Noord-Brabant en Limburg) te steunen. CrossRoads2 richt zich op kmo’s en mkb’s met sterke, innovatieve en technisch haalbare projectideeën die willen samenwerken met bedrijven aan de andere kant van de grens. Open call for interregional company projects on small scale biorefineries, deadline 07/03/2017 At this moment, there is an open project call within the “Era-Net Facce Surplus” regional co-funding system. The topic is “small scale multi-input, multi-product biorefinery concepts“. If you have an R&D collaboration with at least one company from one of the other 15 participating regions within this topic, it seems worthwhile to develop a project proposal for this call because of the high succes rates. Speerpuntcluster chemie en kunststoffen officieel gelanceerd onder nieuwe naam Catalisti Antwerpen, 19 december 2016 – De officiële start van de speerpuntcluster chemie en kunststoffen is een feit onder de nieuwe naam Catalisti. De speerpuntcluster moet duurzame innovaties in de chemie en kunststoffen stimuleren door intensieve en sectoroverschrijdende samenwerkingsverbanden op te zetten tussen kleine en grote ondernemingen, kennisinstellingen en overheidsorganisaties. Bijna honderd bedrijven en alle Vlaamse universiteiten stappen mee in het project, samen met sectorfederatie essenscia vlaanderen, VITO (Vlaamse Instelling Voor Technologisch Onderzoek), het onderzoekscentrum voor de textielindustrie Centexbel en Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, de pilootfaciliteit voor de bio-gebaseerde industrie.
