Workshop “Sensors in Harsh Environments”
17 December 2020 @ 09:30 - 12:30
The online workshop “Sensors in Harsh Environments” on 17 December 2020 (09:30-12:30) offers companies an open platform to discuss the use of sensors in challenging product and process environments with other companies, knowledge institutes and sensor manufacturers. Goal of the workshop is to better match all stakeholder needs, both in terms of sensor development and implementation. Moreover, the workshop will provide the chemical and plastics industry an impetus to speed up the introduction of sensors as well as the combination of sensors with other innovative technologies such as edge computing, digital twins and big data analytics.
The workshop is hosted by IDEA and supported by spearhead clusters Catalisti, De Blauwe Cluster and SIM. The event will be held in Dutch.
Programme
09:30-10:15 Welcome and keynote “Capturing the value of groundbreaking technology” – Thingit
10:15-12:00 Interactive parallel sessions (including presentations of company needs and available sensors)
- Monitoring of infrastructure and production environments
including drones, predictive maintenance, automation, corrosion, mechanical data, … - Monitoring of processes
including in-line monitoring, extraction of components, composition of (side)streams, presence of molecules/objects, … - Measuring environmental conditions
including water quality, microplastics, solvents, current, biofouling, …
